Thinking about going to Mexico for dental implants I can afford

I am really thinking about going to Mexico for dental implants I can afford. The problem is that I don’t know anyone who has done this already. I know several people who have talked about it, but I am the only one who seems to be following through. I need a reference or a recommendation of a doctor. I don’t think it’s wise to just to pick one off of the Internet. Do you have any recommendations? Rich

Rich – We are unable to recommend an implant dentist in Mexico. We do suggest that you do a lot of research before you go to Mexico or any other country to receive dental implants.

Find out about health regulations to ensure that you receive quality implant placement in a sterile environment. We suggest that you visit the location first before an appointment for dental implants. You will also need to check the credentials of the implant dentist, find out what type of implant fixtures are used, and what precautions are taken before and during placement to ensure that your implants will last. What about care after surgery? How many follow-up appointments will you need? If you have an emergency after placement, how will it be handled? Those are just some of the things you should consider.

As a part of your research, consider meeting with a few implant dentists in the U.S. to find out your options for implants, whether you are really a candidate for them, and how dental implants can be made affordable for you. You may not need to travel out of the country to receive them.
